Frequently Asked Questions

BMUN offers a unique opportunity to develop essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and leadership, all while deepening your understanding of pressing global issues. Guided by our experienced organisers and dedicated secretariat, delegates receive expert mentorship and access to invaluable opportunities for both academic and personal growth.
BMUN welcomes students from Grades 6–12 at Bahrain Indian School and Grades 7–12 from all other institutions. We seek participants who demonstrate a strong commitment to diplomacy, critical thinking, and global awareness. Delegates are expected to engage actively in committee discussions and contribute meaningfully to the overall dialogue and decision-making process.
The dress code for BMUN is formal and professional, in keeping with the diplomatic nature of the conference.
1. Male delegates are expected to wear a suit paired with a collared shirt, tie, and formal shoes.
2. Female delegates should wear either a formal dress, a suit, or a blouse paired with trousers or a skirt, preferably in neutral or muted tones.
Dressing professionally reflects respect for the conference environment and helps foster a serious, diplomatic atmosphere.
BMUN will be held on the 17th and 18th of October at the Bahrain Indian School campus. Delegates are requested to be present promptly and are expected to participate actively throughout both days of the conference.
Country assignments are based on several factors, including the date of registration, delegate experience, and stated committee preferences. Priority is given to school countrys that register as a group. Our aim is to ensure a balanced and rewarding experience for all participants.
All participants in BMUN will receive official certificates of participation. In addition, awards will be presented to outstanding delegates in each committee. These recognitions not only highlight excellence in diplomacy and debate but also enhance academic profiles and strengthen extracurricular credentials.
